Targis Ceromer System from Selser Dental Lab. And there's nothing like Targis-Vectris
crowns and bridges for lightweight, metal-free restorations with natural vitality and a
flexural strength of 1000 megapascals!
Targis provides
the beauty and aesthetic capabilities of ceramics with the flexural strength and shade
control of resins. Targis' Ceromer composition gives it enamel-like abrasion that protects
and preserves opposing tooth and root structure. On its own, Targis' ceramic-polymer
matrix can be heat and light cured to create crowns, inlays, onlays... and can even be
bonded to metal when telescope crowns or implant superstructures are indicated.
The second
component of the Targis Ceromer System is called Vectris. Vectris is the only fiber
reinforced, tooth colored composite that makes metal-free crowns & bridges with a
flexural strength of 1000 megapascals possible! Together, Targis and Vectris duplicate the
physical properties of natural dentition... resisting torsional movements and distributing
masticatory force uniformly throughout the framework and the tooth.

restorations from Selser Dental Lab provide exceptional accuracy of fit for anterior &
posterior crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers. Using the lost wax technique, Empress
glass-ceramic is processed with a computerized heat & pressure injection molding
system. This precision control of the casting process ensures marginal integrity and
reduces the chance for secondary decay. Since Empress virtually eliminates marginal
breakdown, margins can end at or above the gingival margin... avoiding the need to
traumatize tissue in supergingival preparations.
IPS Empress'
strength is derived from a leucite reinforced glass-ceramic that wears the same as natural
tooth enamel. Once the Empress glass-ceramic ingots are casted, they are placed on dies
that match the shade of the prepared tooth for precise shading and characterization. The
finished Empress restoration will satisfy your clinical demands for anatomy and
function... and your patient's desire for natural vitality & translucency.
Empress 2
Lithium Disilicate Glass Ceramic Assures You Successful Dental Therapy!
With the advent
of Empress 2, Selser Dental Lab can provide you and your patients with beautiful,
metal-free anterior crowns and three-unit bridges. Created from a Lithium Disilicate
glass-ceramic, Empress 2 exhibits astonishing translucency, value, opalescence,
fluorescence and wearability that rivals natural dentition. The highly crystalline
micro-structure of Empress 2 copings provides increased strength and fracture
resistance... making Empress 2 nearly three times stronger than Empress!
And to complement
this extraordinary all-ceramic coping is its veneering porcelain that contains
fluorapatite crystals... closely exhibiting the structure and optical properties found in
natural teeth.
Optimal placement
is achieved with adhesive bonding however, when a dry field cannot be achieved,
cementation with ProTec Cem from Ivoclar can be used.
